Producing a remarkable Saint-Emilion red wine from a 33-hectare vineyard, planted on the clay and limestone plateau east of Saint-Emilion, Château Troplong Mondot is an estate classified 1st Growth. The blend contains 86% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon.

This magnificent wine displays a very particular color, that of black cherry with hints of violet. On the nose, the Château Troplong Mondot 2009 is deep, quite fresh and rich. One can detect notes of black fruits on the nose, along with wood, vanilla and spicy fragrances. On the palate, this wine is intense, showing great power. This wine is exceptionally rich with integrated, tight and sweet tannins. The wine offers an incredible length in the mouth, fine and very fruity.
