Jack Daniel's Whiskey Single Barrel Select Barrel Proof - This high end expression uses the same 150-year-old recipe that put the brand on the map, but it's not watered down at all, with proofs ranging from 125 to 140. Each barrel will vary a bit. It is a medium slightly oily body, sweet with slightly astringent follow on the palate, oak, cocoa then pepper developing and causing the tongue to tingle around the edges pleasantly. Nice mixture of light fruits and medium dry finish with tingling rye on the tongue.
